This is my emulation of a vintage '60s mono-synth/keyboard called a Clavioline. It was mounted to a piano to be used as a lead, and was made famous by Del Shannon, especially on his hit Runaway. The keyboard was also used extensively by Joe Meek. This synthesizer patch has a wide range. It also can sound like an Arp Soloist. I remember being really impressed by the sound when I saw Of Montreal use it on the Sunlandic Twins tour. Can be used for leads, basslines, arppegios, for oldies, for techno, for whatever. It's surprisingly versatile.
